Zhongjie Guo

I am an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). I received my PhD, supervised by Prof. Wei Wei, in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2023 where I specialized in power system operations, control, and analysis.

My research interests include planning and operation of modern power systems, as well as compressed air energy storage technologies. With solid background in operations research and computational mathematics, I specifically focus on advanced decision-making methods, including convex optimization, robust/stochastic optimization, optimal control, game theory, learning, etc., and their applications in energy systems. I have published more than 30 peer-reviewed research papers, including 10 in IEEE Transactions Journals. Meanwhile, I am funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Open Funding of State Key Laboratory of Power System Operation and Control.

I am currently an associate editor of IET Renewable Power Generation and Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems.
